Unfortunately the blog previously on this site caused immense distress to someone. The result was the destruction of the site by that someone holding the X key down and replacing words with line after line of Xes. Have no fear, it wasn’t a contagious virus and this is a completely new blog with a different password and a new carrier. You are safe here.
I will try to reconstruct what I can and continue to add new material as in the past. Of course, your guess is as good as mine as to who decided it was his prerogative to censor what I write and what you read. If you’ve been a longtime reader of the Gooseknee blog you’ll realize there were a number of candidates capable of censorship. In the past, I’ve often been critical of everyone from the Taliban in the Mideast to North Korea in the Far East. Not to mention a few hundred authors that didn’t measure up in my book review section to their own expectations.
Anyway, as Nikita Khrushchev once said (perhaps the only truism the old scoundrel ever uttered) to John F. Kennedy at their Vienna Summit, “you can’t kill the truth, it has a life of its own” or words to that effect.
So, I apologize to readers, except the one who did all the damage, and also to the more than 30,000 readers who had commented on the previous site, now gone, and never to be read or answered by me.
